The site-specific terms that govern your use of BookToScreen.pro.
Last updated: April 25, 2026
These site-specific Terms apply to your use of BookToScreen.pro and incorporate the Archieboy Master Terms by reference. By using BookToScreen.pro, you agree to both these site-specific Terms and the Master Terms. Where a conflict exists, these site-specific Terms control for BookToScreen.pro.
BookToScreen.pro is a public directory of book IP available for adaptation, plus optional paid services for authors:
Listing your book, subscribing to a paid plan, purchasing the screenplay add-on, or using any feature of BookToScreen.pro does not guarantee that any producer, studio, manager, scout, agent, or industry professional will read your listing, contact you, option, license, or adapt your book.
We are not a literary agent, manager, lawyer, production company, or representative. We do not represent you or your work. We do not negotiate on your behalf. We do not collect a commission on any deal you may strike. We provide tooling, visibility, and educational content; decisions made by industry professionals are theirs alone and we have no influence over those decisions.
No income, deal, option, or interest result is promised or typical. Marketing copy on the site that uses words like “maximize odds,” “increase visibility,” or “put your book in front of producers” describes the tool, not an outcome.
The directory is public. By listing your book, you accept that the listing is visible to anyone on the internet, including:
Producers and industry professionals browse free of charge; we do not vet, verify, or endorse any party who contacts you through the directory. You are responsible for verifying the legitimacy of anyone who reaches out about your book. See § 10 and our scams guide.
You retain all rights to your book, manuscript, cover, pitch text, and any other content you submit. By listing your book, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display the listing and derived AI summaries on the directory and in marketing materials promoting the directory.
For manuscripts uploaded to the screenplay add-on or used as input to AI pitch generation, we transmit relevant portions to our underlying AI provider (Anthropic Claude) under no-training API terms. We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise share your manuscript with third parties other than the AI provider needed to perform the requested service. We do not use your manuscript or screenplay output to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine-learning model.
Pitch packages, adaptation scores, comp titles, screenplay drafts, and offer-check evaluations are generated by large language models. Output is provided “as is” — review, edit, fact-check, and verify before relying on it. We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, industry-currency, or fitness for any particular purpose. Comp titles and industry data may be out of date. AI may misinterpret your manuscript, fabricate plot details, or suggest comparisons that are inappropriate.
The offer-check tool uses AI to evaluate Hollywood adaptation offers you have received from third parties. It is informational only and is not legal, financial, or professional advice.
Our avoid-scams page describes patterns of fraud known to target independent authors seeking adaptation deals, and may name specific companies based on public sources, including U.S. Department of Justice complaints, journalism, and consumer-protection filings. This information is provided for educational purposes. Status of named companies may change; we make no representation about a named company’s current operations, ownership, or legal status. If you believe information on the page is inaccurate, contact us at .
If you are a producer, scout, manager, agent, or industry professional browsing the directory, you agree not to use the directory or its data for spam, mass solicitation, scraping for commercial resale, training AI models that compete with BookToScreen.pro, or any unlawful purpose. Contacting an author through information they have made public on the directory is permitted; using the directory as a target list for fraudulent offers is a breach of these Terms.
You agree not to list books or upload manuscripts that:
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. We may suspend or terminate accounts for abuse, copyright violations, scam-author behavior, scam-producer behavior, or breach of these Terms.
All other terms — eligibility, payment processing, intellectual property in our software and brand, DMCA copyright complaints, disclaimers of warranty, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and changes to these Terms — are governed by the Archieboy Master Terms.
