Genesis: The Kaeliste Code

Special agents of the cosmic Order ("Speculators"), Leo and Lola, share a rare "Soulbound" mental connection. During an operation, they hunt down Bazelus — a high-entity of Chaos and commander of a Zeno Corp unit that recruits souls across material worlds. Although they capture Bazelus, a Zeno Corp strike team ambushes their extraction point and kills Lola. Traumatized by the severed bond, Leo takes a microscopic bullet to the nape — a quantum virus implanting falsified memories of a fictitious "berserker" rampage. Leo awakens with amnesia in Genesis Hotel & SPA — the simulation of Kaeliste, where ordinary souls peacefully purify before new incarnations. The virus prevents complete memory erasure and triggers fragmented flashbacks mixed with fake memories. Investigating the hotel, Leo recruits two quirky tech-nerds tracking strange butterflies, only to receive a warning from "The Messenger" — an entity of Balance — before his companions vanish without a trace. Leo's erratic behavior draws the attention of Security Chief Atoris Dalantane, a fanatic ex-Speculator. Seeking an exit, Leo meets Irma, a captivating artist in the hotel's lower levels, who leads him into the Lower City and helps unseal his genuine memories. To shield him from Atoris, Irma creates a sub-simulation — "The Lake House" — planning to fake her death to purge Leo's fear. Instead, Leo's emotional surge activates the Zeno Corp virus, tearing open a portal for Chaos invaders. In berserk mode, Leo decimates the invaders and burns the lake simulation to ash. Waking in a basement prison of his own making, Leo learns the truth from Hotel Manager Berkman: the berserker memories were fabricated, Irma was Kaeliste's immune anti-virus, and Bazelus intended to frame Berkman to seize the reincarnation hub. The Messenger returns, restoring Leo's cosmic knowledge and confirming his purification is complete. Recognizing the virus's hidden potential as a "Chaos Radar," an empowered Leo transforms into a red-winged butterfly and sets off into the unknown to reunite with Lola.
